How to Love Yourself ….
Be in love with YOU!
I often hear my clients say such things as “I sure would like to love myself but I have no idea where to start. The whole concept is so foreign to me” or “I have tried for years to love myself without results.” This might appear to be sad yet let’s take another look at this. If we go back 30-50 years and think of the women and men who raised us …What do we remember? Did they even entertain the thought of loving their authentic self? Probably not, or if they did there was so much guilt attached you never heard them speak it out loud. With this in mind we are actually living in the most exciting of times. Today both men and women all over the world are saying, “If I loved myself more I would be a better lover, parent, partner or friend. If I understood this foreign concept, my life would be happier and more fulfilled.” I am not talking about ego love but the pure love that is accepting and kind to self and others.
Today we are going to begin on a journey of self love with three easy steps.
1. Let go of what others think of you. This is something that often grips at your heart. It is easier if you step back and get a really big view. How important is it really? Take a couple of deep breaths and ask yourself the magic question, “How much will this matter in a week, month, year or more?” Answer truthfully and you might decide that it was not as important as your first reaction indicated.
2. Acknowledge yourself for your gifts. You are the only ‘YOU’ there is. No one is exactly like you. Make a list of 10 things that are special about you. Now do this every day for a week. By week’s end you will have 70 different things you appreciate about yourself. If you get stuck ask others for ideas. What do they see? What do they appreciate about you? If you have never asked this question of others get ready to be happily surprised.
3. Be Happy. Do, at least, one thing each day that makes you smile. Who do you prefer to be around? Someone who is grumpy or happy? Be the person you want to be around. It makes loving yourself much easier.
Do these things as a beginning step to self love and don’t forget to celebrate your wins along the way. Enjoy being YOU!

Nine Foods Not to Give Your Kids (or yourself)!
By Joe Wilkes
If you’ve followed the news on childhood obesity lately, you know the state of affairs is pretty grim. Childhood obesity rates have tripled over the past two decades, and most signs point to the next generation being the first whose life expectancy will be shorter than their parents’. Much of the blame for this trend has deservedly been laid at the feet of the producers and marketers of unhealthy food aimed at our youngest consumers, whose parents face an uphill battle: trying to pit fresh, healthy foods devoid of mascots or sidekicks against superheroes and cartoon animals in a struggle to tempt their children’s palates and stomachs.
French fries. High in calories, high in fat, and high in sodium—and unsurprisingly the most popular “vegetable” among kids. Fries offer virtually none of the nutrients found in broccoli, carrots, spinach, or other veggies not cooked up in a deep fryer, and the fat they’re fried in is often trans fat, the unhealthiest kind for the heart. To top it all off, studies are beginning to show cancer-causing properties from acrylamide, a toxic substance that is created when starchy foods like potatoes are heated to extreme temperatures. In some tests, the amount of acrylamide in French fries was 300 to 600 times higher than the amount the EPA allows in a glass of water.

Do not eat PORK AND HERE’S WHY!
Okay ~ I know that may be hard for you to take ~ or you may just want to get knowledge, gain understanding, and live a longer and healthier life.
First of all, God said not to eat it. Leviticus 11:7-8. You may argue that later on Peter said not to call food unclean that God said was clean. He was talking about people and NOT food there. Food was simply an illustration. Read Acts 10:28.
Also, if you know the Scriptures, 1 Timothy 4:3-5 talks about food again. Careful reading of these Scriptures say in verse 5 that the food we are to give thanks for is hallowed and consecrated by the Word of God and by prayer. PIG is not hallowed, but God Himself said it is “unclean” for us.
The pig is a “dirty” animal ~ “unclean” in God’s words. It was meant to be the “garbage collector” of the land. It eats anything in it’s path, including dead things, and even it’s own feces.
Here are some facts you may not know about pork: (Info via the internet):
Cholesterol and Fatty Acids – Pig meat is high in fat and cholesterol, which can lead to blocked arteries and heart problems. Pork also contains an unusual type of fatty acid which, once digested, can lead to increased cholesterol levels.
Bacteria and Toxins – Pork meat absorbs toxins faster than other types of meat. Since pork is digested more quickly by the human body than other types of meat, there is increased likelihood of transfer of toxins to the human body.
Diseases – Pigs may be afflicted with a wide range of diseases, some of which can be passed on to humans. Swine flu, or H1N1, is just one example. The risk of disease is present whether handling live pigs or their carcasses.
Parasites – A number of dangerous parasites may contaminate pig meat, including tape works, trichina worms, hook worms and round worms. These parasites are transferred to the human body after someone consumes contaminated pork, and may cause serious illness and even death. Some worms ingested through contaminated pig meat can even migrate to the human brain, where they burrow into the brain tissue and must be surgically removed.
